Yummy treats

This post is about yummy treats. I checkout a couple of my favourite foodie blogs just now….just to see what they’ve been up to.

Tartlette is always a treat to read. A tonic even. It is written by a french pastry chef (Helen) who married a gentleman from the USA where they now live.

Every post has a story, a recipe and beautiful pictures. It is a treat. Please do check it out! Her recent post is about losing power – so there is no recipe. But if you scroll down the page you will see Cashew Gateau with Coffee Cardamom Mousse, Roasted Apricot and Lavender Panna Cotta, and close to my Aussie heart a recipe with wattleseeds (not that I’ve ever tried them!) Apricot and Wattleseed Tea Cakes. Sounds yum!

I checked out Jocelyn’s blog Kuidaore. Jocelyn hails from Singapore. If you want to see beautifully decorated cupcakes make sure you have a look at this blog. It hasn’t been updated for quite a while, sadly, but there is a terrific looking cake on the last post. The cakes is Coconut Layer Cake with Coconut buttercream. Drool…

Back to blogging

Yes, I know it has been a while. I have been taking time out, looking around the blogosphere, deciding my direction. As this is a crafts blog I have been focussed on sewing, fashion, embroidery etc. Then I found out that food can be included in craft, ie, edible crafts! Soooooooo, I have had a wonderful time wandering around all the foodie blogs that exist. Well, not quite all, there are sooooo many. Mainly I dutifully concentrated on the sweet treats in life – cakes, tarts, bikkies.
So at this stage I consider myself to be a crafts blogger which includes food – Yay!!
So, Please stay tuned for posts on food arts & crafts, as well as the usual sewing, fabric, beads related stuff .
