Next market coming up on June 5th.
I am madly sewing, crocheting, labelling….
to get my range of wearables – clothing, jewellery and accessories
ready for the market.
It should be great!
More posts about this to follow!
Following on from my last post about applying to the wonderful BiDM on March 6th….
Over the holidays I have been working on a few pieces which however are sadly lying around three quarters done , but not just quite completed…..
So now is the time to get all my WIPs (works-in-progress) and get them completed!!
Here are just a couple of pieces that I have added to my shop on etsy.com
and for a touch of red!
The first BiDM for 2010 is coming up fassssst…
BiDM (which stands for Brisbane Indie Designers Market) is the fantastic market organised by my local Etsy team BrisStyle (etsy.com)
I just received the email yesterday with the application details & sent it straight back…..hope I get in!
The first one for the year is on Saturday 6th March….not long to go now. It hardly seems like any time at all since the very successful market we had on Dec 5th last year. Time has flown soooo fast over the holidays. I have been working on some projects over the break but lots of them are still WIPs (works-in-progress) or really just mere ideas in my head!
I will be hope to be creating a mixed range of goodies for the day – vests for children and women, accessories and jewellery. All made by me with a mix of sewing, crochet, applique and more….
I will keep you posted, dear reader, as to how it all goes!
What a truly fantastic day I had last Saturday at the BiDM (BrisStyle Indie Designers Market)
Beautiful Brissie weather
Fantastic crowds of enthusiastic shoppers
Awesome organisation by the committee – particularly the wonderful Helen of ruby2gogo
Looking forward to next year’s markets!!!
The BiDM I had a stall at last Saturday was huuuge!
What is BiDM?
BiDM stands for Brisbane Indie Designers Market
Soooo many visitors – it was absolutely unbelievable!
Lots of sales, lots of good stories, beautiful cupcakes, lots of goodies to be had
My thanks to my co-stallholders – the wonderful Eliza of Elvenhair.com (and Zoe and Gem)
that’s me (Gaynor) on the left and Eliza on the right
I went along for the monthly meetupwith the great gals from BrisStyle.
This is one of my online groups of gals who sell on Etsy andwho are based in Brisbane (Australia).
We had great coffee and food at 63 Racecourse Rd, Ascot, and also great conversation about all things crafty
and markety. This location was ideal for our meetup as we are having a market across the road
at St Augustine’s Church hall on Saturday 4th July. It is called the
BrisStyle Independent Designers Market
Very exciting…..More to follow on that soon…..
Thanks Therese and everybody else who organised and attended the meetup!
